Questions You May Have About The AOBA....

We know that you'll always have questions; which we'll be happy to answer direct by email. Just get in touch.

What is the verification process for new players?

Just like the UKARA scheme, once a player has been to your site 3 times over at least 2 months(60days), they will bring you a form, which you'll need to check against a valid form of ID and stamp their form (You can even use an existing scheme stamp to make life easier). Unlike other schemes, you'll also be expected to check and initial the back of a passport photograph of the player.

A user has changed their personal details; do I need to do anything?

Unlike other schemes; no. The user will simply update their details and submit evidence direct to us (A bill, or some other valid document reflecting the changes). You may be contacted to verify such changes if the user is unable to provide sufficient evidence.

Can I verify a user's AOBA status if they registered with a different site?

Yes... Verifying a user's status is what we do best. You'll be given access to our database and as long as the user has given you their correct membership number and a piece of authorisation information; you'll be able to instantly verify a member - Just like retailers do. This is especially useful if you have a forum that allows the sale of RIFs to particular groups.

What happens when a user leaves the hobby?

Our database is kept in an immaculate condition - If a user leaves the hobby; they may request removal from the database or inform you as a skirmish site; who can submit the request on their behalf. A user's membership will auto-lapse after 12 months in any case.

What happens if we close our site down?

Once you inform us of your decision to close your skirmish site; we will immediately remove you from our database; The good news is; your members and players will not lose any ability to purchase RIF's untill your site insurance expires. When they rejoin a new skirmish site they simple update their records with the AOBA. If your insurance is being cancelled early, you must let us know.

A user has been acting irresponsibly - What do we do as a site?

If you ban a user from your site that is a member of the Association; we ask you to inform us; so we may look into revoking the member of their AOBA status. Utilising the AOBA for your membership administration is one way to ensure that our sport stays safe and legal. We ask all skirmish sites to inform us immediately of user's trading RIFs to non-approved players so an investigation can be launched.

Our insurance has lapsed; what do we do?

It is imperative that you keep your insurance valid for the safety of your site and it's players. We routinely monitor insurance status and site safety policies. As such; if your insurance expires; you should not be operating skirmish events and and must inform us so we can tempoarily pause your membership. We may be able to assist you in obtaining a new policy at a good rate and getting it implemented swiftly.
